Insider: Oracle's security chief departs amid company restructuring.

On August 19, Jin10 reported that an informed source revealed that Oracle (ORCL.N) has long-serving Chief Security Officer — who is also one of the highest-ranking women in the cybersecurity industry — will leave the company in a recent round of restructuring. Mary Ann Davidson joined Oracle in 1988, having previously served as a civil engineer in the U.S. Navy. Institutions reported last week that Oracle is laying off employees as the company has invested heavily in artificial intelligence infrastructure and is taking steps to control costs. The news of Davidson's departure surprised many in the security community, as she has worked for the company for nearly 40 years and is renowned in the industry as an advocate for Oracle's product security.
